It is with immense pride and anticipation of great things to come that we would like to announce that Anri Strauss and Elizabeth (Liz) Kuhn are moving onward and upward as they step into more extensive roles in our Chemuniqué ruminant team. Both of these formidable animal scientists have been with Chemuniqué for several years and are characterised by their eagerness to learn, grow, and serve our animal production industry.
Anri Strauss is well known for her great passion for the sheep industry (and Boer goats!), but will now also expand her service to include the feedlot industry. Anri studied animal science at the University of Pretoria and completed her master’s degree research on beef feedlots. She lives in Petrusburg in the Free State, where she practices what she preaches farming part time with cattle and Boer goats. Her aim at Chemuniqué is to improve performance and connect science with farm practices to ensure that processes flow fluently on the farm.
Elizabeth Kuhn is a loved and familiar face in the Eastern Cape, where she started her career with Chemuniqué after completing her BSc (Agric) degree in animal science at the University of Pretoria. She is currently working on completing her master’s degree, researching the seasonal stress effects on trace mineral status is dairy cows. Liz will be responsible for the dairy side of our industry and her service will include advising on products like Zinpro® Performance Minerals®, CELMANAX™ and X-Zelit. She is passionate about cows and building long-lasting relationships in the agricultural industry, and her motto is: “Immunity first!”.
