Improve growth and feed conversion of heat-stressed broilers with Betafin

Poultry-Bulletin-Aug-12

Dehydration, due to heat stress, causes variation in growth and feed conversion of poultry.

Betafin is an osmolyte which reduces dehydration, resulting in more uniform bird growth particularly when the bird is under heat stress conditions.

Benefits to the producer:

  • Increased revenue more birds achieve premium price performance targets.
  • Reduced Costs more birds reach market weight faster, and the reduced maintenance energy requirements as a result of improved osmotic balance improve FCR.

Betafin is an osmolyte which improves the bird’s ability to retain water, reducing dehydration. This is particularly
beneficial during periods of heat stress.
