Formerly from Zimbabwe, I made South Africa my home in 1997. Six years of extensive global travel after university gave me quite a unique perspective on many social and managerial issues that we face in South Africa. Today, I live in Howick in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands with my wife, Tamlyn, and our son, Finn. I work with all ruminant species, specialising in pasture dairy systems. I have a long history in the premixing industry and enjoy the challenges presented by correct mineral supplementation to animals on a low-cost production system.
I believe that the answer to our most challenging problem often lies on the edge of our vision and, if no one is looking for it, it might go unnoticed for years. I try to constantly push the boundaries of accepted practice by trying to see situations from a different angle.
Beyond being a mineral specialist on pasture-based systems, I am also passionate about developing farmers and staff to be the best version of themselves.
