A wonderful world of language
South African slang is a vibrant reflection of the country’s diverse culture, uniting residents across its 11 official languages. This unique vernacular incorporates influences from various languages, creating a rich tapestry of expressions. For instance, phrases like “just now,” “now now,” and “later” have distinct meanings: “just now” typically refers to a time frame of hours later, “now now” indicates something will happen in a few minutes, while “later” means at an undefined time somewhere in the future.
