The agricultural sector is a vibrant and critical part of our economy. Young people need to have a voice and platform to also share their take on agriculture. As supporting better futures for all South Africans underpins all we do at Hollard, this is a perfect opportunity for us to partner with and AGRI NEWS NET and allow new voices to be aired.  We strongly believe in developing and growing young talent and look forward to the entries we will receive.  This is an exciting initiative, which AGRI NEWS NET launched earlier in the year, and we are excited for its potential, and proud to be part of this!

Gareth graduated with distinction from the University of Pretoria in 2019 with a BSc(Agric) degree in animal science, and joined the Chemuniqué team as an intern in 2020. He is currently completing his master’s degree where his research is focused on improving phosphorus utilisation in broilers by comparing the efficacy of novel phytase enzymes in young broiler diets using different sampling and statistical methods. Along with completing his post-graduate studies, he is currently the head limestone research coordinator at Chemuniqué and is obtaining valuable commercial experience in broiler nutrition and production.

Watch this space, this young man is getting ready to make his mark on the industry!
